About Sfinco

Sfinco helps you spot scams before they catch you out: check a suspicious message, find who to call, and practise spotting the tricks scammers use. Nothing here is connected to a bank account, no live financial data is read, and nothing you type or say is uploaded anywhere else, it all stays on this device.

Sfinco helps you spot risk. It doesn't replace your bank's fraud team, the police, or your own judgement, if something still feels wrong after checking here, trust that and call someone.

Tap the search bar to jump straight to a section or a contact number, or use the microphone to search by voice.

What to do right now

Take these in order. Moving fast in the first hour makes the biggest difference.

  1. Stop all contact. Hang up, don't reply, and don't send anything else.
  2. Call your bank immediately on the number on your card, not one from the scammer, and ask them to block or reverse the payment.
  3. Change your passwords for any account you think was mentioned or logged into, starting with email and online banking.
  4. Report it to ReportCyber (cyber.gov.au/report) and to Scamwatch (scamwatch.gov.au), so others can be warned.
  5. If your identity was exposed (Medicare, licence, passport details), call IDCARE free on 1800 595 160 for step-by-step help.
  6. Tell someone. A family member, friend, or the Australian Cyber Security Hotline on 1300 292 371. You don't have to sort this out alone.
